How Compound Interest Calculator handles calculator inputs, website requests, shared links, downloads, and voluntary email correspondence at compound-interest-calculator.co.
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains information handling by Compound Interest Calculator at compound-interest-calculator.co. It covers calculator use, ordinary website requests, sharing and export features, and messages voluntarily sent to the website. References to “we” and “our” mean the website for these purposes. Privacy questions can be sent to websiteaftersales@gmail.com.
The central distinction is between numbers processed inside your browser and information that leaves your device when you load a page, send a message, or share a result. Local calculation does not mean that visiting a website leaves no technical record. Services you choose separately, such as an email provider or cloud printer, also have their own practices.
2. Calculator inputs and results
The application calculates in your browser. Inputs can include a starting amount, contributions, a savings target, withdrawal requests, time periods, rates, currency, and payment settings. The application does not send these values to a calculation API, save them in a site database, connect to your bank, or create an account. Results and chart selections are produced from those inputs on your device.
Each mode holds its entries in the current page's memory so you can switch modes without starting over. A reload normally restores default values unless the URL contains a shared scenario. Browser session restoration, extensions, device backups, or a saved link can preserve information independently of the application. Reset example changes the current scenario; it does not erase previously exported files or copies of a shared link.
Hypothetical numbers work just as well as real financial amounts. Names, account identifiers, passwords, and identity documents are not needed to calculate a result.
3. Information involved in loading the website
To deliver pages and assets, the serving infrastructure receives ordinary request information. This can include an IP address, requested URL path and query string, date and time, browser or device information sent in request headers, referring page, and response or error details. Operational or security systems may use such information to deliver content, diagnose failures, limit abuse, and protect availability.
The calculator's local processing does not prevent these technical requests. Do not put sensitive details in URL paths or query strings. The application does not use request information to build a personal financial profile, and it contains no account-based tracking system. The exact infrastructure logs, processing locations, and retention settings depend on the service delivering the site; this policy does not claim an unverified provider, location, or fixed deletion period.
5. Clipboard, downloads, and printing
Copy controls write the selected summary, share link, or contact email only after you choose the action. The application does not read your existing clipboard. If copying is unavailable, it provides selectable text where appropriate. Your browser or operating system may keep or synchronize clipboard history under its own settings.
PNG images and CSV schedules are generated locally. Previewing an export does not upload it to the website. Saving a file passes it to your browser's download process; printing passes the prepared result to your browser's print system. A folder synchronized to the cloud or a network printer can create additional copies outside the website's control.
Files and printouts include financial assumptions and results. You decide where to keep them and whom to send them to. Delete unwanted copies through your device, storage provider, or recipient rather than assuming Reset example removes them.
6. Email, questions, and improvement suggestions
Opening the contact popup does not send a message. Clicking Open email app opens a mailto link; your email service handles the message only if you send it. The contact mailbox uses Gmail. Sending email can disclose your email address, display name, message, attachments, and normal email delivery information to the services involved and to the website's contact mailbox.
Correspondence is used to answer questions, investigate calculation or accessibility issues, consider suggestions, handle privacy requests, and maintain a record of how a matter was addressed. An example input or screenshot you voluntarily send becomes part of that correspondence, even though entering it in the calculator alone would not have transmitted it.
Do not send passwords, bank credentials, full account numbers, government identifiers, or confidential financial records. Redact screenshots and use invented amounts when possible. The site does not operate a newsletter, marketing signup, public comment feed, or automatic support submission form.
7. Cookies, analytics, and browser storage
The current application does not set analytics or advertising cookies, embed advertising pixels, use localStorage or sessionStorage to remember inputs, or load a third-party calculator. Fonts and application assets are served with the site rather than requested from a remote font service. The browser may cache public assets as part of ordinary browsing.
Infrastructure security mechanisms, browser extensions, and services opened separately are distinct from the application. Read the Cookies & Browser Storage notice for the difference between cookies, page memory, caching, history, and exported files. There is no behavioral advertising or profiling feature in the current application to opt out of.
8. Purposes and grounds for handling information
Information handling is limited to operating the website, maintaining availability and security, responding to voluntary correspondence, correcting problems, addressing requests, and meeting applicable legal obligations. Calculator inputs processed locally serve the calculation you request; they are not collected by the site as an account record.
Where data protection law requires a lawful basis for information received by the website, the relevant grounds may include legitimate interests in secure operation and answering correspondence, steps taken at your request where applicable, and compliance with legal obligations. Those interests must be balanced against the rights required by the applicable law. If a new optional activity requires consent, it must not begin without the required consent. Merely reading this policy is not consent to marketing or tracking.
The calculator does not make legally significant decisions about you. It does not determine eligibility for credit, employment, insurance, or financial products, and it does not score or profile you for those purposes.
9. Who may receive information
Calculator numbers stay in your browser unless you take an action that discloses them. Website delivery and security services may receive technical request information. Email services process correspondence. A professional adviser or service assisting with a specific support, security, or legal matter may receive information reasonably needed for that task, subject to applicable safeguards and obligations.
Information may also need to be disclosed in response to a valid legal requirement or to address fraud, abuse, or threats to legal rights or safety. These circumstances do not authorize routine disclosure of your correspondence for unrelated advertising. The website does not sell calculator inputs or use them for targeted advertising.
Recipients you choose by sharing a link, file, email, or printout are outside the website's control. Public educational links lead to separate websites; their data practices apply when you visit them.
10. How long information may remain
Different information has different retention conditions. There is no single deletion period covering your browser, a contact mailbox, infrastructure logs, and copies you send elsewhere.
- Active inputs: held in page memory during use. The application does not maintain a server-side scenario archive. Browser restoration or saved links can recreate inputs.
- Links, clipboard history, downloads, and printouts: remain according to your device, recipient, or service settings until you remove them or that service deletes them.
- Correspondence: kept while reasonably needed to answer and follow up on the matter, document a correction, handle a request or dispute, protect security, or meet a legal obligation. Relevance, sensitivity, unresolved issues, and applicable requirements determine the period.
- Infrastructure records: retention depends on the actual delivery or security service and its settings. No fixed provider retention period is asserted here without verification.
Information should not be retained merely because storage is available. A deletion request is considered against remaining legitimate needs and legal requirements. Mail-provider backups or recipients' copies may have separate removal schedules.
11. Security and international processing
Avoid placing identifying details in scenarios and share only what is necessary. No website, email service, or storage system can promise perfect security. Even when a website connection uses HTTPS, that does not make a shared URL, downloaded file, or email confidential to its intended reader.
Website delivery, email, and services you select may process information in countries other than your own. This policy does not promise that information remains in a particular country or claim a transfer mechanism that has not been verified. Where applicable law requires protections for a transfer arranged by the website, those requirements continue to apply. Contact the site for information relevant to a particular request.
12. Your choices and privacy rights
You can use hypothetical amounts, avoid sharing, decline to send email, clear your own browsing data, and delete files you control. These actions have different effects: clearing cookies alone does not remove a link already sent to another person.
Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have rights to access information held about you, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive certain data in a portable form, withdraw consent for processing based on consent, or complain to a competent authority. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in the relevant law. Withdrawal of consent does not undo earlier lawful processing.
Send requests to websiteaftersales@gmail.com with “Privacy request” in the subject and enough information to locate the correspondence or matter. The website may need proportionate verification to avoid disclosing someone else's information. Do not send an identity document unless specifically requested through an appropriate process. If an authorized representative contacts us, evidence of their authority may be needed.
Requests will be handled within time limits required by applicable law, with an explanation where a request cannot be fulfilled. No blanket fee or waiver of rights is imposed here. We cannot supply a historical input record that the application never collected, or delete copies held only by a recipient or your own device.
13. Children and sensitive information
The website is a general educational tool and is not directed at children under 13. It does not ask for age, create child accounts, or require personal details to use the calculator. Parents and guardians should supervise voluntary messages and sharing by children.
If you believe a child has sent personal information to the contact mailbox, notify the website so the matter can be assessed and the information removed where appropriate. Avoid including further sensitive information in the initial report.
14. Changes and questions
The date above identifies this version. Material changes to data handling will be reflected in the policy and brought to users' attention where required. Adding analytics, advertising, accounts, payments, or stored scenarios would require a fresh assessment and notice; this policy is not advance permission for those activities.
Contact the website if a practice is unclear or if you believe a statement does not match what you observe. The Terms of Use and Financial Disclaimer address use of the service and the limits of its results.
