WEBSITE POLICIES
Terms of Use
Effective and last updated:
The conditions for using Compound Interest Calculator’s free calculators, educational content, shared scenarios, and downloadable results at compound-interest-calculator.co.
1. Scope and use of the website
These Terms of Use apply to Compound Interest Calculator at compound-interest-calculator.co, including its calculators, explanations, charts, shared scenarios, and downloadable materials. “Compound Interest Calculator,” “the website,” “we,” and “our” refer to this website and the services described here. “You” refers to a person using them.
Please read these terms before using the tools. If you do not agree to the conditions that apply to your use, do not use the service. Nothing here limits protections that apply to you by law. The Privacy Policy explains information handling; the Financial Disclaimer explains the limits of the calculations. A privacy notice is not a request for blanket consent to unrelated processing.
2. What the service provides
Compound Interest Calculator is a free educational planning website. Grow savings projects a balance from an initial amount and recurring contributions. Savings goal estimates a monthly deposit needed to reach a target. Withdrawals estimates remaining money, actual withdrawals, and payment shortfalls. Results can be explored, copied, downloaded, printed, or shared.
No account, subscription, payment, or financial-account connection is required. The website does not accept deposits, place trades, transfer funds, arrange credit, or sell financial products. It does not verify your income, account balances, identity, or eligibility for a product. There is no paid purchase or refund process for the current service.
3. Educational information, not personal advice
Calculations and explanations are general illustrations, not individualized investment, banking, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Entering your own amounts does not create an advisory relationship or make a result suitable for your circumstances. A chart, target date, or withdrawal schedule is not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or withdraw from a particular investment.
Example rates are editable assumptions rather than offers, market quotations, forecasts, or guaranteed returns. Verify important figures independently and consult the relevant provider or an appropriately qualified adviser when you need advice about an actual decision. The website cannot assess all of your needs, debts, risks, or legal obligations.
4. Inputs, assumptions, and calculation limits
You are responsible for checking your entries and choosing the correct mode, currency, rate convention, payment frequency, and timing. Currency selection changes formatting only; it does not convert amounts. A result based on incorrect inputs may be mathematically consistent while still being unsuitable for your intended scenario.
- The model uses fixed nonnegative rates and equal-month periods. Daily compounding means 365 compounding periods per year, not a daily transaction ledger.
- Grow savings supports nominal rates or APY, recurring deposits, and an optional inflation assumption. Savings goal and Withdrawals use the nominal-rate controls displayed in those modes.
- Savings goal rounds the required monthly payment upward to cents and projects that payment. Withdrawals are capped at available funds; the model does not create an overdraft to meet an unfunded request.
- Taxes, fees, penalties, variable returns, market losses, and actual bank posting dates are not modeled. Provider-specific terms may materially change real outcomes.
- Input ranges and maximum projections are limited. A rejected value is not a statement that an actual transaction is impossible or unlawful.
The homepage methodology and examples explain the calculation conventions in more detail. Downloaded amounts are rounded for display, and results may change after corrections to the tool.
5. Using the service for yourself or others
Use the website only where your use is lawful. If you are not old enough to agree to terms under the law that applies to you, involve a parent or guardian. The tools may be used with hypothetical numbers for learning without providing personal contact information.
If you share results with a client, student, colleague, or family member, explain the assumptions and limitations. Do not present Compound Interest Calculator as having reviewed their circumstances or approved your advice. Any professional obligations attached to your own use remain your responsibility.
6. Acceptable use
You may use the tools for lawful personal, educational, and internal business planning. You must not misuse them or interfere with other visitors. In particular, do not:
- Attempt unauthorized access, bypass technical restrictions, introduce malicious code, or deliberately disrupt availability.
- Send abusive, fraudulent, unlawful, or privacy-invading material through the contact channel.
- Use automated traffic in a way that overloads the website or evades a restriction imposed to protect it. Ordinary lawful linking and access are not prohibited by this clause.
- Misrepresent a projection as an account statement, guaranteed return, official quote, regulatory approval, or endorsement.
- Use the Compound Interest Calculator name or branding to impersonate the website or imply an affiliation that does not exist.
7. Your inputs, exports, and shared links
You retain any rights you have in information you enter. You may copy, download, print, and share your own generated results for lawful purposes, including discussing a plan with another person. Keep enough context to identify the rate, duration, payment assumptions, and estimate limitations. Editing or reformatting a result must not make it misleading.
Shared links encode scenario inputs in the URL. They are not password-protected, confidential, or automatically expiring. Anyone who receives or obtains a link can inspect and reuse it. Deleting your copy does not revoke copies already sent to others. The website does not maintain a private sharing service that can centrally cancel those links.
You control files, clipboard contents, emails, and printouts after creating them. Save any result you need as a record: the website does not promise to keep a scenario, preserve a particular calculator version, or make older shared formats work indefinitely.
8. Website content and intellectual property
The website's original design, branding, explanatory writing, and other materials are subject to applicable intellectual property law. These terms permit ordinary access to the service and the use of generated results described above; they do not transfer ownership of the site or grant a right to redistribute its original code, branding, or substantial content as your own product.
Linking to the website, permitted quotation, independent use of mathematical formulas, and other uses protected by law remain available. Third-party names and referenced materials belong to their respective rights holders. If you believe material on the site infringes your rights, email a description, the relevant page, and enough information to assess the concern.
9. Feedback and correspondence
Questions, correction reports, and improvement ideas are welcome at websiteaftersales@gmail.com. By sending feedback, you allow it to be reviewed and used to investigate the matter or improve the website. This does not authorize unrelated use of personal information contrary to the Privacy Policy.
Please do not send confidential inventions, trade secrets, account credentials, or identity documents. Sending an idea does not create a promise of payment, attribution, implementation, or a response by a particular deadline. The contact channel cannot execute financial instructions or provide emergency assistance.
10. External websites and services
Educational links are provided for context. Compound Interest Calculator does not control an external site's availability, accuracy, policies, or products, and a link does not establish an affiliation or endorsement. Review the destination's terms before using its services.
Your browser, email app, storage service, and printer may apply their own terms when you use an export or contact feature. The website cannot guarantee their behavior or recover files you delete. Any future sponsored content or affiliate relationship must be identified where relevant; public-source links should not be assumed to be commercial endorsements.
11. Availability, changes, and access restrictions
The website may be updated, corrected, interrupted, or discontinued. Features, input limits, calculation methods, and supported share formats may change. Access may be restricted where reasonably needed to address abuse, security issues, maintenance, or legal obligations. There is no guaranteed uptime or permanent storage commitment.
Reasonable efforts are made to explain calculations clearly, but errors or omissions may occur. Report suspected issues with reproducible, non-sensitive examples. A correction may change future outputs without changing copies previously downloaded or printed.
12. Warranties, responsibility, and legal protections
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of accuracy for every use, uninterrupted access, or fitness for a particular financial decision. To that same extent, responsibility is not accepted for losses caused by reliance on an illustrative projection, incorrect inputs, third-party services, or misuse of shared materials.
These limitations do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or other conduct protected by mandatory law. They do not remove any consumer guarantee, remedy, or other right that applies to you. Where a limitation is not permitted, it applies only to the extent the law allows. The service being free does not by itself remove your legal rights.
13. Questions, disputes, and interpretation
If a concern arises, email the website with the relevant URL, a description, and the outcome you are seeking. Informal contact may help resolve the issue but is not a mandatory step that prevents you from exercising a legal right or meeting a filing deadline.
These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, or an exclusive court outside your jurisdiction. Applicable mandatory law and the courts or authorities with lawful jurisdiction continue to govern your rights. If one provision cannot be enforced, the other provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
14. Changes to these terms
The effective date identifies the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date and, where appropriate or legally required, a more prominent notice. Changes are not intended to remove rights already accrued or retroactively authorize conduct. Any additional acceptance required by law will be obtained.
Check the current terms when returning after a substantial change. You can save or print a copy for your records and contact the website if a provision is unclear.
